Neiman Marcus Texas Novelty Brown Leather Belt, 1960's
About the Item
1960's dark brown leather belt by Ben King for Neiman Marcus in Dallas Texas. The corset style belt has a Lone Star state motif with gold metal charms depicting characteristics of Texas including an oil rig, cowboy boot, saddle and a longhorn. The closure fastens with hidden hooks and offers three adjustable sizes. A big bold look for an Americana classic.
CONDITION
Good condition with some cracking to the leather surface in one area as shown in photograph 12. This flaw is age related and regular conditioning of the leather should prevent further deterioration.
SIZING & MEASUREMENTS
Marked a size 24 and fits x-small sizes. The belt measures 24" long to the smallest adjustment up to 26" at the largest x 2" wide. The belt was too small for a size 4 mannequin so even though they say 'everything is bigger in Texas' ... this belt is an exception :)
