Black Floral Embroidered Bohemian Cape, 1970's
About the Item
Add a vintage bohemian look to your wardrobe with this folkloric style Boston Pure Wool cape. Though the label reads 'Pure Wool', the body of the cape has the weight and feel of soft dark denim uniquely embroidered with a crewelwork technique using vibrant silk threads in a floral pattern including shades of yellow, red, aqua blue and white. It is trimmed in a natural cording and the hem is accented with an unexpected black and gold frilly lace. The topper can be kept closed with two hidden hooks at the front and would be fun to layer over blue jeans or anything black. Very good vintage condition.
SIZING & MEASUREMENTS
The size is not marked though the cape is basically a one-size-fits-all as it is unstructured. The shoulder measurement is probably the best indication of a proper fit. For visual reference, the mannequin in the photographs is a size 4.
