S/S 1992 Rifat Ozbek Runway Documented "Bone" Western Military Inspired Jacket
About the Item
This striking black jacket from Rifat Ozbek's Spring/Summer 1992 collection has a military-inspired design and debuted on the runway, where it was modeled by Angelika Kallio. It has gained significant attention since then, thanks in part to being worn by Celine Dion on the cover of her single "Think Twice." The jacket has also been featured in various Vogue editorials, cementing its status. One of the jacket's defining features is the faux bone detailing that runs down both sides of the front, with a zipper closure in between. Additionally, it has bold mustard-yellow cuffs. The jacket has been seen on notable figures like Wendy Veldhuis in editorial shoots and in different color variations, such as on Linda Evangelista in the January 1992 issue of US Vogue, photographed by Irving Penn. It has also made an appearance in Vogue Australia and is held by the V&A Museum. This versatile piece is a well-documented and sought-after addition to any fashion-forward wardrobe.
