Lanvin has cemented its place in fashion history as one of Paris’s most prestigious couture houses after the labels first boutique opened in 1889. This Lanvin dress is a rare piece of fashion history as its bold print demonstrates the confidence and innovative approach that was taken by the successful design house throughout its history. Constructed from synthetic silk. Featuring yellow, blue and white scenes of French domestic life seen through open windows, set against a dominant background of striking red. Striped red and white hem. Single lapel collar and short subtly puffed sleeves. The dress fastens with buttons to the front while the skirt half falls in knife pleats.
