1960s Mardi Gras By Levino Verna Red Silk Chiffon Dress
About the Item
This vivacious 1960s red silk chiffon empire line dress is by American designer Levino Verna and is in beautiful vintage condition with a vibrant, contemporary feel. This piece has wonderful simplicity and has no embellishment bar a piped seam at the waistband. There is a finely pleated chiffon overlay in bright crimson with a shallow V neckline both at the front and reverse and a full ankle length skirt cascading from the empire waistline. The nature of the fabric creates a beautiful fluidity of movement when worn, making this piece a marvellous choice for dancing. The dress is lined in silk crepe and a thick layer of cotton blend fabric. There is a zip fastening at the centre reverse with a hook eye fastening to secure. Would best fit up to US size 4-6, UK size 8-10.
