Anne Fewlass creates unique, elaborate, and richly coloured knitwear inspired by historical designs.
In this design Anne Fewlass uses intricate decorative panels constructed to create a complex tailored garment.
Reminiscent of sumptuous Renaissance attire, this fitted jacket is constructed from 15 wools, chenille and cotton yarn panels, each with a different design and colour combination.
Machine knitting is used as a base for various hand techniques such as crochet, beading, embroidery and felting.
Closure is with a long hidden zip and the jacket features a turned-down collar.
This jacket design, with its varied textiles and patterns is quintessentially British in its reference points that displays craft practice and love of individuality.
