Mashiah is a contemporary women’s fashion line started in 1999 by Merch Mashiah. Based in both Berlin and Tel Aviv, his signature style incorporates bold fabric options often heavily pleated à la Fortuny or Miyake yet his design an easy yet architectural appeal. Done in a micro-pleated fabric, this jacket dons a tartan plaid with stripes of yellow, navy, red, and green. This jacket is layered with several layers of the jacket pieces providing for a unique stacked hem and an explosive multi-tiered lapel that envelope around the shoulders like voluminous petals. Semi-fitted barrel sleeves and the close fit established by diagonal seaming provide excellent balance to the larger-than-life feature of this jacket. With a several buttons and buttonholes throughout the layers, this jacket can be styled a variety of different ways that fit your own aesthetic while still maintaining an unforgettable silhouette.
