Vintage Horse Applique Tote Style Handbag
About the Item
Wonderfully whimsical tote style handbag accented by a horse applique complete with 'googly' eye silliness. The bag is constructed in a black canvas lined with a quilted black and white floral cotton. The horse applique is a brown and creme ultra suede with cognac color stitching. The handle is threaded through a dark wooden dowel and can be converted from a top handle to a shoulder strap with an easy adjustment. Hand created in the 1970's by Judy's Things of Atlanta, Georgia. A wonderful piece of Americana for adding a touch of vintage to your wardrobe. A fun fact ... the handbag came from the Atlanta estate of a fashionable woman who once lived in Hollywood and worked for Lucille Ball and Desilu Productions.
CONDITION
Excellent condition. Though previously owned, appears unused.
MEASUREMENTS
The body of the handbag measures 12.5" wide x 11.5" tall x approximately 4" deep. The convertible handle measures 33" from end to end providing for a 15.5" drop at shoulder length adjustment and 20" from end to end providing for an 8.5" drop at top handle length adjustment.
