Japanese Antique Cabinets(Tansu), Wabi Sabi, Japandi
About the Item
This Japanese antique cabinet was made in the Taisho period (1912-1926).
This furniture was made with the same tradition and advanced techniques as Japanese shrines.
In Japan, it was called a tansu (chest of drawers) and used to store tableware.
Our top-notch craftsmen have repaired the entire structure and drawers to ensure smooth operation. It has sufficient strength and stability.
The finest “zelkova” wood is used for the material.
The grain of the wood is beautiful.
The materials, techniques, and design are all the pinnacle of Japanese antique furniture.
When the paint is removed, the aged wood surface is exposed, creating a unique atmosphere.
