About the Item
A beautiful Mashiko Ware Vase with a deep brown, rust and black design.
The clay in the Mashiko region is a pure from of clay in silicon acid and iron which produces the wonderful deep color combined with a fabulous glaze.
Mashiko Pottery is wabi sabi everyday use along with form and function.
It is recognized as a national and traditional craft in Japan and located in Tochigi Prefecture.
Very good to excellent condition. In the original shipping box. Never used.
Dated AUG 27 1965 (see photo of original shipping box).
Unsigned.

14 inches high by 8 inches wide at the widest point
