Antique Asian Red Coral and Purple Stone Calligraphy Brush Set with Stand

About the Item

This beautiful unique red lacquered stand is used to present calligraphy horsehair brushes that are made of antique pieces of bone, coral and purple semi-precious stone. Typically used with an open ink well to write characters, calligraphy is as much about the refined art of the painting as it is about the words and phrasing. This type of painting is one of the oldest practiced artistic traditions in the world.
