This is an antique entrance boot scraper. An English, cast iron doorway shoe cleaner, dating to the Georgian period, circa 1800.
Generously sized scraper with a delightful appearance
Displaying a desirable aged patina and in very good order
Cast iron form presents a good, consistent graphite finish
Substantial in the hand at a weight of 7.36kg (16.22 lb)
Set upon a pair of turned balusters, the generous scraper with a width of 20cm (7.75'')
Oval form to the drip tray with a stout, tiered edge - replete with four mounting holes
