Antique Japanese Cloisonne Turquoise Enamel Crane Tea Pot

About the Item

An antique Japanese, late Meiji era, lidded enamel over copper tea pot with a curved handle. The exterior of the ware is enameled with a polychrome design depicting cranes surrounded by plants and butterflies made in the Cloisonne technique. The lid is decorated with a design of blossoming flowers and a foliage motif made in the same technique. The neck is adorned with foliage, and geometrical patterns made in the same technique. Circa: late 19th century Dimensions: H 3 3/4 in. All measurements are approximate. Condition Overall good vintage condition. Signs of age and wear. There is a piece of enamel missing on the bottom from the inside. Refer to photos.
