Translation: 1 携節踏遍 Traveling all around during festival 2 暮山煙 Misty mountains at dusk 3 乙未秋日 Autumn day in the Year of Yi Wei 4 蓉湖外史并题 Title and inscription by Ronghu Waishi Detailed explanations: 1. Year of Yi Wei: Year of Wood Coat, based on Chinese sexagenary cycle 2. Artist’s signature is Ronghu Waishi (meaning: Scholar of Rong Lake), AKA pseudonym 汪永嘉 (Wang Yongjia). Chinese to English: Wang Yongjia was a Literary and Historical Official in Qing Dynasty. In 1856, the East King was killed and Wang Yongjia fled; later he was making a living by selling pantings in Wuxi (Jiangsu province), and he was very good at calligraphy and painting. 3.
