About the Item

As you can see, it is a work of "Basho / Sparrow" drawn by Midori Yano. Under Basho, this work skillfully depicts the appearance of sparrows forming a flock and singing food. «Suiho Yano» Born in Iyo-gun, Ehime Prefecture in 1897 . He went to Kyoto and studied under Takeuchi Seiho, and was recognized for his artistic talent. He took over the character of Seiho's phoenix and called it Midoriho. After returning to Tokyo, he was active mainly in Matsuyama City, Ehime Prefecture, and worked as a member of the Iyo Art Association and the Ehime Arts and Crafts Exhibition to foster art in Ehime Prefecture. A Japanese-style painter who excels in animal painting, especially tiger painting.
