Asian Two Panel Table Screen Flowering Prunus with Songbird

About the Item

Colorful Asian two panel byobu screen featuring a blossoming prunus tree with a songbird perched on its branch. Vibrant ink and color pigments applied to a golden silk ground. The painting is signed and titled "Early Spring" with two seals by the artist, Tingzhi. The image is set in an ebonized lacquered frame with a silk brocade border and patinated brass hardware. Very good condition with fading and light water stains on silk. From an estate in San Francisco, CA.
