In Japan, there are stones for viewing called suiseki.
The same culture has existed in China since ancient times.
Suiseki is a Japanese culture and hobby of appreciating stones indoors. Appreciate by arranging natural stones on a pedestal or a ceramic board with sand.
Suiseki means "water" and "stone".
There is a legend that if you sprinkle water on the stones in the basin, the color will darken and it will look beautiful, so it is called this way.
This suiseki is placed on a wooden pedestal for viewing.
This is a natural stone excavated in the mountains of Japan.
It is made of sandstone and has horizontal layers.
Although it is difficult to identify the region where it is produced, such stones are mined in northern Hokkaido, and the stones produced there are called "Ponpira" stones.
This stone also has a stone quality similar to Ponpira stone.
It is a particularly unique stone among Suiseki.
It is believed that after quarrying, the hardened mud was removed, then polished and carved.
As a result, the stone resembles a huge rock on a cliff.
Although it is small in size, it is a majestic and beautiful stone.
This is an item that is not easily available even in Japan.
