Japanese Old Tea Ceremony Pot Chagama "Trellice and Flowers" Immediately Usable
About the Item
From our recent Japanese acquisitions with original signed box.
A finely cast Japanese traditional iron teapot -chagama- with a wonderful relief band and design of summer time bamboo trellices dotted with early flowers all around - an unusual motif and fine treasure from Japan. The bronze lid possesses an acorn fruit finial. The sides boast handles that allow suspension.
The original signed wooden collector storage box tomobako is a bonus and includes the original yellow wrapping cloth.
Immediately usable.

This was sourced from a large Japanese Tokyo collection.
Quality: excellent relief with an original attractive patina.
Dimensions: 6 inches tall to top of its acorn like finial and 10 inches diameter
