Japanese Antique Stone Statue 「The Man Sitting」 1800s-1860s / Figurine Wabi Sabi

About the Item

This is a very old Japanese stone statue. It is from the Edo period. (1800s-1860s). A man with a topknot is sitting. It is probably a scene of a traveler taking a break. It is very beautiful in its decay, with moss remaining. It is a very rare stone statue that I have never seen before. Considering that it has been more than 150 to 200 years since its creation. It is miraculous that the statue exists in this state. This is a very rare stone statue with a wabi-sabi aesthetic. Weight: 5 kg.
