Abaca Tapis Skirt Bagobo people, Mindanao, Philippines Mid-20th century Hemp family Measures: H 23.25 in x W 27.5 in Fully opened: H: 46.5 in x W: 55 in Abaca is a textile unique to the Southern Philippines. This tube skirt features an ikat resist dyeing technique. The weaving is finished with a traditional method of rubbing with a shell to give it a polished sheen.
