Aesthetic Movement Victorian Fireplace Tongs
About the Item
Very executed fireplace tool (tongs) with cast brass, or bronze top and iron rod arms. The top section shows Classic Aesthetic Movement decoration, early Modernist style, late 19th century (1880s) period, probably American made in the English style. The tong shows significant surface wear to the finish, normal and consistent with age.
