About the Item

A late Georgian style carved pine fire surround, circa 1850. Crafted at the hand of a talented 19th century woodworker, this antique fireplace is beautifully carved, the frieze depicting foliage and mythical creatures centred by an urn. It is a handsome surround for a traditional townhouse or period property, the dog leg opening further adding to its neoclassical appeal.
