Rare Antique Hand Carved Oak Fireplace Mantel Surround w. Horns of Plenty & More

About the Item

Exceptional antique fire-place mantle with rare and marvelous deep carvings. If you are a collector of rare and great looking architectural antiques then this good size and great condition antique fireplace surround could be yours to own and enjoy soon. This all handcrafted mantle comes with the perfect decor of fruits, flowers and 'forest fruits'. With the fruits in the horizontal section coming out of stylized horns of plenty and with the perfectly hand carved ribbon, in a way, tying the two together, we are certain this unique antique must have been a special and costly gift for newlyweds. With a male head sculpture on the right and a female on the left it simply must be. This entirely hand-crafted antique is like a celebration of marriage and the love between a man and a woman and the stylized horns of plenty tell us that whomever presented this piece wished the couple a prosperous life. Former owners clearly looked after this fine antique very well, because how else can a piece that was all handcrafted in the early European Arts & Crafts era (circa 125 years ago) still be in such great condition. If you like this rare antique fire place frame as much as we do then you will love our price. Especially when taken into account that perfect packing and free shipping from our store to your door in just 4 to 6 days are complimentary. No matter where you live on our beautiful planet. Maximum height x width x standing depth: 57.2 x 62.2 x 18.1 inches. Height till shelf: 53.6 inches. Depth of the shelf: 16.9 inches. Opening of the front: height x width: 45 x 45.1 inches. We have a passion for the unique, for quality, for stylish yet practical and for craftsmanship of years gone by. Your purchases will be extremely well packaged and we look forward to serving you (again).
