This is an antique black Forest fireside bin. A German, beech and copper coal or log store, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900. Wonderfully decorative storage bin or jardiniere, with an appealing finish Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order. Beech staves show fine grain interest and rich caramel hues. Copper presents warm amber hues with a naturally aged patination. Articulated handle stands prominently above a distinctive, tapering ribbed form Removable copper line for ease of cleaning, with drain holes to the wooden frame Raised upon a trio of circular bun feet beneath an ebonised circular plinth This is a delightful antique Black Forest fireside bin, graced with a distinguished form and appealing colour. Ideal for all fuel types, delivered waxed, polished and ready for the fireplace.
