Studio Pottery Vase or Bowl Gertrud + Otto Natzler
About the Item
The Natzlers moved to Los Angeles from Austria in 1938. They were trained artisans. She made the simple pristine pot forms and he made the amazing glaze designs.
This piece is another exceptional example of both of their applied techniques.
Wheel thrown thin walled clay with a wonderful lapis lazuli glaze.
It also has nice happy accidental drips on the foot.
Signed on the bottom "Natzler"
The exact size is roughly just under 3.5" H x 4 3/4" W at the top.
Great to add to a collection or use as a decorative element....
