Arnhem Dutch Art Deco Hand Painted Persian Pattern Art Pottery Comport
About the Item
A stylish Dutch Art Deco art pottery comport hand painted in the Persian pattern and made by the Arnhem pottery dating from around 1920. The comport is supported on a wide rounded slightly domed foot with a shaped column stem, the top of rounded shaped and of very shallow form with a shaped rim. The comport is hand painted with patterned and colored banding set against a black ground to the outer body. The inner bowl with a vase containing tall stems with buds and flowers painted in colored enamels on a pale light blue ground and set within a decorative border. The base has painted ARNHEM HOLLAND marks along with numbers and the pattern PERSIAN.
