Delft polychrome Portuguese hand painted ceramic covered tureen with lid and under plate, hand painted 17th century, tin glazed faience with floral, hunting and bird motif, early 20th century, Numbered and signed. The intricacy of the hand painted pattern is based on a typical Portuguese design from the 17th century. Glazed earthenware made in Portugal. All ceramics are hand painted and no single piece is alike. Measures tureen: Height 11 in /28 cm Depth 15 in/32 cm Width 11 in /25 cm Measures under plate: Height 1.2 in /3 cm Depth 15 in/35 cm Width 11 in /28 cm. Weight: 83.4 lb. (3,800kg).
