This exquisitely detailed and beautifully achieved Art Deco Brass and Enamel Box W/ Naturalist Imagery in Relief Cloisonne originates from Japan, Circa 1930. Features a top composed of raised relief naturalist imagery in brass lined with multicolor enamel cloisonee in green, cobalt, turquoise, and vermillion red. Featuring an array of flowers, birds, and bamboo, winding around one another and creating a dynamic scene filled with energy and life. The sides of the box have rectangular areas of additional detailing in brass relief. Ideal for storing keepsakes or small items of daily use, this piece will draw the appreciation of collectors with an eye for fine accessories of the Art Deco era and unique material balance and execution. This box will style well in a wide array of spaces and settings, from Art Deco to Mid-Century Modernist and Contemporary Interiors, and is in Excellent Vintage Condition.
