An exceptional box made from Verdite with leather covering to the base. Originally used as a cigarette box, a silver hinge and frame join the top and bottom sections. Made and retailed by Callow of Mount Street, London. Hallmarked London 1912.
Dimensions: 15 cm/5⅞ inches (width) x 10.75 cm/4¼ inches (depth) x 5.75 cm/2¼ inches (height).
