About the Item
A stylish and finely made Art Nouveau pottery twin handled candlestick decorated in Majolica glazes by Eichwald and dating from around 1910. The lightly potted candlestick stands raised on two side on a wide spread hollow foot narrowing into a narrow square formed stem supporting a rounded candleholder with stylish handles applied below. The candlestick is molded with typical period designs and hand painted in bold coloured contrasting colours. The candlestick is indistinctly marked to the base.
