Art Deco electric timepiece in a light green and black Bakelite case standing on rectangular shaped feet and resting on a stepped two color plinth.
Square dial with baton markers and gilded hands.
Electric movement by Temco ( \telephone manufacturing company ltd)., circa 1925
Temco ( the telephone manufacturing company) was formed just after the first World War to manufacture telephones which previously had been imported from Germany. The company grew rapidly and soon branched out into the manufacture of synchronous electric clocks. The company was made public in 1924 and in the early 1960s was then taken over by the Pye Group.
