Large Unusual French Neo-Grec Revival Gilt Bronze Mounted Marble Mantle Clock

Large unusual French Neo-Grec Revival gilt bronze mounted marble mantel (fireplace) clock, circa 1870. The shaped rouge griotte marble arched case centering a circular dial with gilt Roman chapters and steel Breguet hands above twin key escapements, within a gilt brass hinged bezel above a pair of crisply cast paterae roundels and flanked by knob finials issuing conforming beaded rods joined at the crest with a gilt splayed scrolling anthemion finial on a cylinder and marble bun pedestal, raised on double-ringed circular legs and a rectangular plinth with sloped rouge griotte mounted panels within a gilt bronze molded frame on curling tendril cast paw feet flanking a curved stylized shell pendant mounted apron.
