Antique French Gilt Bronze Table Clock - Eagle
About the Item
A stunning large sized original antique French table clock. It is in the classical style and features a beautifully modelled eagle seated on the cushion shaped top. The case is decorated with acanthus leaves and acanthus roundels to the sides with goddess masks and finely fretted cushion shaped base. This is a stunning clock modelled in the round for display on a table.
The dial porcelain enamel on copper with a blue center with gilt bronze fret work and blued steel hands.
The French movement is of high quality and is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is a replacement. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. We have a video of the clock, please ask and we will send you a link.
Condition of the case is excellent, the original gilding is beautifully clean and bright with just some slight wear and discolouration. The dial is also very good with just come hairlining near the ten o'clock.

Complete with pendulum, bell and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.

- Condition:Repaired: Fully overhauled and tested by our clockmaker. Wear consistent with age and use. Condition of the case is excellent, the original gilding is beautifully clean and bright with just some slight wear and discolouration.
