Glass frame by Archimedes Seguso

About the Item

Fine glass frame attributable to master glassmaker Archimede Seguso. The chronice is composed of blue and green murano glass rods , alternating. Glass rods are arranged on a lacquered wooden stand. Archimede Seguso was one of the greatest master glassmakers in Murano, starting his business at the age of 17 in his father's furnace. Its glass is distinguished by a rare elegance, just what this frame has. It is attributed to the master on the basis of other works similar in color and shape but with different dimensions, which over the years have gone through auctions attributing their authorship precisely to him. This wonderful frame is ideal for inserting a mirror and using it as a makeup mirror, or for framing your most treasured photos. The frame is in excellent condition as pictured.
