Postmodern Cobalt Blue Plexiglass Abstract Vase or Sculpture

About the Item

Spectacular postmodern cobalt blue plexiglass abstract vase or sculpture. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. A broken piece of the plexi has been repaired. Please see photos and zoom in for details. We attempt to portray any imperfections. Circa, Late 20th Century. The color BLUE represents both the sky and sea and is associated with open spaces, freedom, intuition, imagination, inspiration, and sensitivity. Blue also symbolizes calmness, depth, trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, faith, loyalty, stability, and sincerity. This incredible sculpture brings forth all of those qualities!! This is a phenomenal postmodern vase or sculpture comprised of beautiful cobalt blue plexiglass strips and squares of different sizes and thicknesses between ¼ inch and 1/8 inch arranged and glued to form a stunning abstract shape. The two long triangular sides are parallel to each other and are separated with a plexiglass tube between them. You could put a couple of single stem flowers in the tube or possibly a candle. It stands on a 6 x 6 transparent plexiglass square base. It is fairly large scale as it stands about 24 inches tall, 19 inches wide, 3 inches in depth. It has sharp, fabulous lines and it DEFINITELY makes a powerful statement! It will be gorgeous on the console table behind your sofa in the living room, on an accent table in the entry way, or in any room that needs a POP of cobalt blue brilliance! This sculpture is bold, bright, and beaming with postmodern excellence! Don’t let it get away! Make it yours!! We have seven Folk Art style vases with molded hands of many vibrant colors to offer to you! This set includes 2 white, 2 maroon or burgundy, 1 green, 1 yellow, and one bright red molded plastic vases. That’s 35 fantastic fingers!! They are round at the bottom and kind of oval or egg shaped at the top. They are inner lined with burlap for extra reinforcement, but they are light weight, so if you want to put something a little heavier inside like an artificial plant, you may want to put a weight of some kind in the base. They will hold water, but for a “handy” tip… we certainly DO NOT recommend drinking from them! They are best used as unique, eye-catching décor!! They would host a wonderful spider plant...
