This is an antique Highland doorstop. A Scottish, brass and cast iron decorative door keeper with stag figure, dating to the mid Victorian period, circa 1870. Delightful doorstop, proudly presenting Scottish taste and theme Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order Quality brass relief work with bright golden tones Base and rear support in cast iron, with consistent graphite finish The stag figure redolent of Sir Edwin Landseer's Monarch of the Glen painting Superb weight in the hand of 4.35kg (9.59 lb) This is a charming antique Highland doorstop, with a wonderful stag motif and substantial weight.
