A carved two-toned marble bust depicting the image of Apollo with draped garb details. Mounted to a round tapered marble plinth. circa 20th century. Very heavy and stately. Made in Italy. Perfect for display on a table, bookcase or stand. Apollo has been recognized as a god of archery, music and dance, truth and prophecy, healing and diseases, the Sun and light, poetry, and more. One of the most important and complex of the Greek gods, he is the son of Zeus and Leto, and the twin brother of Artemis, goddess of the hunt. Dimensions: 24.5"h x 20" x 9"
