Ceramic sculpture Face model from Faces Collections designed by Ambrogio Pozzi and produced by Studio Superego in 2008. Signed and numbered.
Biography:
Ambrogio Pozzi was born in 1931 in Varese, Italy. During his University education he attended also at Istituto per la Ceramica in Faenza. After his graduation, he came back to improve glazes and stoneware techniques. Creative, he gained great experience working for important firms in different fields of production, diversifying mass-production design from image projects, always giving great importance both to aesthetics and functionality.
In 1950 starts to design for his paternal factory, Ceramica Franco Pozzi in Gallarate, realizing ceramic, glass, plastic; wood projects. Winning many prizes he had the possibility to make work-travels to Denmark, Sweden, England, France and Germany. Member of international Juries in Faenza, Hannover, Valencia, Lisbon, Politecnic/Milan, etc.
His projects are exposed in many important galleries and museums all over the world, like MOMA of New York. He is coordinator for the Design Section at the Gallery. of Moder Art in Gallarate. He attends to product design and graphic.
