Mounted Polished Orthoceras Fossil Panel

About the Item

A natural prehistoric polished Orthoceras fossil panel mounted on a bespoke steel stand. Characterised by its long, straight conical shaped shell, the 370-million-year-old Orthoceras was an ancient cephalopod (mollusk) and ancestor to the modern-day squid! This large fossil panel displays an ancient Orthoceras, fossilised over millions of years, with a polished face and naturally carved reverse. It’s scale and quality make an excellent collector’s item or modern sculptural display piece.
