Collector Grade Lace Agate Geode Butterfly with Multicolored Agate Laces
About the Item
This unique, small agate geode displays collector-grade laces formed over millions of years. A top-tier piece, it's perfect for your gallery shelf or as a standout addition to your table that will leave friends in sheer admiration.
Nature amazingly formed the agate layers, where you can see the growth pattern it underwent over millions of years. There are hundreds of agate layers, each displaying a different and unique color. By naked eye we can observe hues of: Amber, Purple, White, Blue, Yellow, Red, and many other color shades in between.
Another special and rare characteristic seen in this agate is the horizontal water line bandings that are called "Spirit Levels" and tells us the exact position in which the agate was when formed.
It is very important to highlight the fact that this Agate Geode brings its purest form, and no treatment has been applied to it.
Outstanding from every angle, this blue lace agate geode is sure to be an amazing addition to your crystal collection. Check out the photos to see more details and feel free to send us a message if you have any questions or specific requests. 🤍
You may be wondering, how were the laced agate layers formed?
It's truly fascinating: agates normally form inside bubbles or cavities of igneous (volcanic) basalt and, over time, are filled with layers of water with high concentrations of silica. The water is slowly evaporated, forming a layer of silica gelatin and then a layer is formed. It is a very slow process and each layer contained different impurities, thus forming different colored bands. Fantastic, right?

As a family, we were lucky to be born and live in Ametista do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil: 'The World's Amethyst Capital'. Our story begins in the 1970s, when our father had a small-scale industry of Amethyst, Agate, and Citrine, originating our passion for Crystals and Minerals. After years in the void, but always being surrounded by these fantastic crystals, we decided that it was time to bring our dreams to reality, and in 2020 we started E2D with a Mission: Every item we sell is Ethically Sourced from small miners and lapidaries, leading the path for the development of the whole supply chain, especially for the ones who need more, the miners.
