Large Pyrite Cluster Specimen
About the Item
A large pyrite cluster specimen originating from Peru, displayed on one of our exclusive museum-quality painted plaster bases.
Naturally formed over millions of years, this huge pyrite cluster showcases a golden, brass-yellow colour, typical of the variety, with a metallic lustre for which it is famously named ‘Fool’s Gold’. This particular specimen is an impressive find, not only for its scale but also its cluster formations, exhibiting crystals in the shape of cubes and octahedrons. These naturally-occurring, irregular shapes are unique to this specimen, making it a spectacular sculptural piece for an interior or collector’s cabinet.
