A South Eastern 19th century Martaban water jar with dragon motifs and petite handles. Used as a storage vessel to ship food and water, this Martaban jar charms our eyes with its nice proportions and lovely color. Originating from the city of Martaban, east of Bangkok, this jar showcases a narrow neck topped with a thin lip, while its rounded body, accented with petite handles allowing the piece to be moved more easily, is adorned with incised dragon motifs.
