19th Century Spanish Glazed Clay Pot with Lovely Old Mend
About the Item
A Spanish clay pot with spout from the 19th century. This antique round-shaped vessel from Spain is wider towards it's top and mid-section, becoming more narrow towards it's bottom, with a single spout at one lower side, and resting upon a flattened base. The lip is pronounced with hand-notched carvings adorning the perimeter beneath. There is a dynamic look about the exterior with the glazing and paint strokes, and a fabulous old repair/mending wrapping around the body. This 19th century Spanish pot can stand alone as a decorative art piece, though it would also make a nice planter (we recommend sitting an already potted plant inside), or as an interesting way to hold/display other small objects.
