About the Item

Vintage ceramic bud vase was made by Kent Follette in minimal, organic modern style. The vase is decorated with abstract flower design in various shades of blue with brown stems; the background is done in semi-matte light beige and blue glaze. Delicate glossy blue glazer accents on flowers add textural complexity and interest to restrained, delicate piece. The vase stands xx" tall and is signed by the artist on the bottom. Kent Follette is an American ceramic artist with more than 50 years of experience. He is influenced by traditional Japanese arts and crafts and simple beauty of handmade objects. His work is a blend of beauty and utility, and his goal in creating each piece is "to cause a little celebration in everyday living". Follette has been represented by multiple galleries nationwide.

Robert Held Art Glass is one of the best-known art glass studios in Canada. Held created Canada's first glassblowing program at the Sheridan College School of Design in 1969.
