Jim Reno Pottery Dragonfly Decorative Oil Lamp or Vase

About the Item

Reno Pottery Studio dragonfly oil lamp is hand crafted by Jim Reno, ceramics artist working in Mayville, NY. He is a member of Chautauqua Crafts Alliance and is known for his whimsical zoomorphic designs on handmade and hand decorated porcelain pottery. Each of his pieces is individually made and decorated, so no two are alike. The oil lamp is done with dove grey glaze and decorated with stylized dragonfly design in navy blue, grey, brick red, and yellow colors. The piece is highly decorative and a conversation starter. It is signed at the bottom and stamped on the side of the base. The lamp sits on wide round base, 4.5" in diameter, and narrows up to 1.5" diameter rim with removable wick holder ball. It is 6" high. The piece can be used as a vase if the ball is removed. The piece is in excellent vintage condition.
