19th Century French Leatherbound Book Tantalus with Shot Glasses and Decanters
About the Item
For an interesting bar accessory, look no further than this unique liquor box or "cave à liqueur". Crafted in France, circa 1870, the antique tantalus is shaped like five antique leather bound books stacked together. Lifting the top, it reveals a partially gilt liqueur set with a pair of carafes with stoppers and shot cordials. The faux book liquor box has a rich patinated leather finish, gilt tooling, spaces for the stoppers while serving, and an armorial. What a charming accent piece in a wet bar or a gentleman's study!
