Ceramic Vase by Jacques Pouchain from 1960's

About the Item

Jacques Pouchain was particularly known for his minimalist style which was inspired by geometric shapes, reminiscent of his first vocation as an abstract painter. At the end of the 1950s, he created his own ceramic workshop in Dieulefit. In the 1960s, he mainly worked in abstraction before developing, in the 1970s, the theme of femininity and fertility. His artistic ceramics quickly earned him a reputation that is still valid today. The marriage between modernism and charm gives birth to this superb scroll vase, beige with brown patina, with an incised decoration and in light relief of geometric scarifications.
