Blue and white chinoiserie dish Delft, 1691-1724 The Metal Pot pottery Mark: LVE, period of Lambertus van Eenhoorn (1691-1724) The dish has a narrow, flat flange and is painted in blue with a floral chinoiserie decor of plants and flowers issuing from rocks. A butterfly flies in the air. The central representation is framed by a border composed of ten trapezoidal panels filled with three types of floral decors. Dimensions: diameter 34,5 cm / 13.58 in. The decor is an almost exact imitation of Chinese porcelain from the Kangxi period (1662-1722).
