French 19th Century Glass Fly Catcher

About the Item

A unique hand-blown glass fly catcher from France circa 1880. A lovely shape. The basin at the bottom of the dome is meant to be filled with a small amount of sugar water solution for flies to trap themselves in. Three small feet elevate the whole so that bugs can enter, the top is a bit rough around the edge and could have had a lid or cork.
