A pair of very decorative and high quality Murano Millefiori Murrine egg shape lamps are a fantastic example of the kind of work the Murano glass Factories are capable of, Millefiori means thousands of flowers. This very old technic requires an extremely expert hand to craft the fabulous items that come out of the Murano Factories .
Creating a Millefiori Murrine design involves multiple passages, it starts with the preparation of a glass rod, then layers of soft glass paste are prepared and then laid one the top of other around the cylindrical rod, every layer is moulded to form a particular flower or star shape and color.
